Midleton Arts Festival presents a taster of the 2019 festival theme, Land Art. Outside the Courthouse join us to create a town/land art creation – bring natural objects like sticks and stones etc. Inside there will be a presentation by Dr. Annie McNamara and artist Belinda Walsh on Land Art, a performance by Midleton ukulele group “the Uku-I-corns”, film screenings, including 2018 festival highlights and winners of the 2018 Midleton Arts Festival film competition. There will be a beautifully emotional display of Wayne McSweeneys “100 Hearts”; 100 hearts made with DAD written on them given away for free and in return people filled in a card with a thought about their dads. We will end the evening with a discussion about what Midleton Arts Festival means to the community, and invite people to join us to share ideas and get more involved in the festival.
