Land Art with Gerry Barry

Join the fun down the Baby Walk next Sunday from 11am! Grab a delicious coffee and chill out to Live Music performed from our eco-Stage, create your own Land Art masterpiece from natural materials, raise your voice and your spirits by joining the “Big Sing in the Park”, broaden the mind and awaken your senses with improvised dance and sound performance.

We are delighted to have the land artist Gerry Barry come and make Land Art in Baby Walk with you as helpers. This is a wonderful opportunity to work with a highly regarded Land Artist to create a beautiful temporary work in this lovely town setting on the grass by the river. Find the materials in the woodland behind Baby Walk and whatever the weather, you will create a gorgeous work of Land Art with Gerry.

“I have been working with lines and circles in the natural landscape since 1975 using natural materials. The landscape I work in has been and always will be, a profound influence on what I create. I aim to create works that compliment that landscape. Most of my works are transient while others are being reclaimed by nature after decades.” Gerry Barry

All ages welcome.

There will also be local musical entertainment curated by Caroline Sweeney and the performance of Crannchur (The Casting of Sticks) – improvised dance and sound by Jessica Bonenfant Coogan and Danny McCarthy
