The Gab Storytelling present The Gab Mixtape – an entertaining evening of storytelling where storytellers perfect their storytelling skills in an informal, positive environment. It is a free event but donations are warmly accepted.
At the ‘mixtape’, stories are interspersed with a little song and a little poetry but with a strong emphasis on the art of storytelling.
Who are The Gab? We are a storytelling community set up in 2016 in Blarney. So far, The Gab has hosted events at Midsummer Festival, Cork Lifelong Learning Festival and Cork Heritage Week. As the appetite for storytelling grows, so too does The Gab’s following. The most important stuff to The Gab is
- Respect for all storytellers and listeners
- Storytelling cultural preservation and practice
- Development of storytelling as a contemporary art
- Building a diverse and inclusive storytelling community in and around Blarney and Cork
