MAKING AN EXHIBITION OF HIMSELF

As part of this year’s Midleton Arts Festival, local artist Gary MacSweeney will present a striking live street performance on Saturday, May 23rd at 12 noon in the heart of Midleton.
In this bold and unconventional work, MacSweeney will transform himself into a living gallery by covering his body in his own artwork to create an immersive and visually arresting experience. Blurring the lines between artist and exhibition, the piece invites the public to engage with art in an unexpected way.
Playful and provocative, the performance carries a deeper message. It highlights the growing need for a dedicated arts centre in Midleton, while encouraging audiences to think creatively, question norms, and reconsider how and where art can exist.
Blending humour with subtle political undertones, Gary’s Making an Exhibition of Himself promises to engage, challenge and inspire audiences of all kinds.
Join us on Midleton Main Street to bring art vividly to life.
See you there ❤️
