At Midleton Sunday Art Market, you are invited to take part in a free outdoor drawing and sketching demonstration with local artist Maeve O’Keeffe at the Midleton Art Market on Sunday, May 24th, 2026 from 12:00–1:00 PM.
Participants are encouraged to bring a pencil and sketchbook and join Maeve as she demonstrates techniques using pencil and charcoal. Known for her expressive style, Maeve highlights charcoal as a versatile and forgiving medium – ideal for both beginners and experienced artists. Its ability to be easily smudged and reworked allows artists to build bold, dramatic compositions without fear of mistakes.
Following the demonstration, Maeve will be available for charcoal portrait sessions from 1:15–4:00 PM at the market.
In addition to the live event:
- A selection of Maeve’s artwork will be showcased in the Scarlett Boutique window as part of the Midleton Arts Shopfront Gallery initiative.
- An Art Exhibition by students of Maeve’s Frazzled Mammy After School Art Classes will be on display at MyPlace’s street window from May 22nd–30th, 2026.
Maeve O’Keeffe continues to inspire creativity within the community through her accessible teaching style and engaging workshops.
