Our 2026 poetry competition is judged by award-winning poet David McLoughlin.
Winners announced by David McLoughlin at Midleton Books, Sunday, May 24, 2-4pm. 1st, 2nd and 3rd winners will receive book vouchers and read their poems.
Readings will be followed by Open Mic.
Criteria:
Over 18s only. See below for children’s comp.
Poem must be 20 lines or under – around the theme of ‘The webs people weave’
Do NOT include your name on the poem. Name and contact details only in the email body.
Attach your poem as Word or PDF. Name this file the same as your poem title.
Add the poem’s title to the email subject line.
